AddisonMckee have designed a range of highly-specialized, electrically-powered, hydraulically-operated elbow tube benders. Developed to answer the demands of the plumbing industry, the ElbowBend series is capable of delivering six 90-degree or 45-degree copper elbow joints every 7.2 seconds.

Simple start-up and shut down procedures allow for quick tool changes to be achieved in 25 minutes.

The machines’ control system is based on a Siemens controller, and all electrical control gear and axis drives are integral to the machine – mounted in an electrical cabinet secured to the base frame.

ElbowBend series CNC tube benders—Key range/feature information:

• EB28 HS6
  
  • The EB28 HS6 is capable of accepting tubing from 12mm up to 28mm diameter, working at high-speed bending six components at a time. The set-up incorporates six sets of mandrel bend tooling to achieve the required quality.
  • The machine is constructed as a self-contained free-standing unit and is typically used as part of an integrated manufacturing cell delivering six copper elbows per cycle from pre-cut tube lengths that are delivered into the bending head via a central feed unit.
• EB28 S4
  
  • The EB28 S4 is a 28mm high performance machine designed for the production of stainless steel elbows bending 4 components at a time and incorporating four sets of mandrel bend tooling.
• EB110
  
  • The EB110 is a 110mm high performance machine designed for the production of stainless steel, cupro nickel and copper elbows.
  • The machine is specifically designed to bend elbows up to 108mm OD on a radius of 1.1 D for copper and cupro nickel and at 1.2D for stainless steel.
  • The basic machine has been designed for manual load and unload, although consideration has been given for automation to be added if so desired.
