Momentum on its side, AddisonMckee launches “One™” campaign

Lebanon, OH, USA   April 28, 2009 – Hot on the heels of the recent global media release announcing the Eagle™ brand absorption into the AddisonMckee portfolio, AddisonMckee has officially launched its “One™” campaign.

Out of the gates fast in 2009

“Despite the poor economic conditions that exist, there have been many positive milestones within our business in the first quarter” states Joe Eramo, Chief Executive Officer of AddisonMckee. “In January, we launched tubemart.com – the world's first fully-online, totally comprehensive, single-source tube manipulation machinery supply catalogue. In February, we restructured our global business and lowered our cost structure by consolidating our manufacturing operations. In March, we announced AddisonMckee-Europe – our new dedicated sales, service, and application support center for Europe, located in the United Kingdom – and we acquired the Intellectual Property assets of Eagle Precision Technologies.”

One Company, One Mission, One Vision

“In order to provide our customers a well-defined message and to galvanize our ~150 associates around the world,” says Christian Rogiers, Vice President of Global Marketing at AddisonMckee, “we officially launched the ‘One™’ Campaign. The objective of this global campaign is to promote and reinforce what has been part of our very DNA from the very beginning: that AddisonMckee is One company, with One well-defined mission – based upon complete Customer Satisfaction – and One clear vision – diversification of products, markets and geographic sectors – that will lead AddisonMckee towards continued future growth.

With multiple brands – AddisonMckee™, Eagle™, and TubeMart™ – and multiple global locations – USA, Canada, China and UK – we felt it was critical to build and promote a cohesive, well-aligned new cultural movement, all working towards one common goal: to deliver high-quality and innovative technical products and solutions, coupled with unparalleled service and support of our customers.”

Orders around the world

Despite the state of the global economy, AddisonMckee has won a number of key orders in 2009, among them:

  • a multi-million dollar order for a fully-automated tube bending and forming cell in South America;
  • US$400,000 worth of bending machine orders serving US aerospace installations;
  • A bending solution for a safety and comfort systems manufacturer in Europe;
  • A comprehensive bending, endforming, and cutting solution for a worldwide manufacturer of flow control products for residential, commercial construction, industrial, and irrigation markets;
  • A bending solution for a North American leader in the design, development, manufacture and support of cover, camouflage, concealment and deception systems that provide improved vehicle readiness, enhanced survivability and protection.

“In this economic climate especially, any potential capital expenditures are evaluated and scrutinized more than ever,” adds Mr. Eramo. “Tubular component manufacturers want to do business with a company that can offer a complete, technologically-advanced tube processing solution, a solution backed by the highest levels of support. Perhaps more importantly, they want complete confidence that their tube manipulation equipment provider will be around in the future. Indeed, few if any companies, can match the breadth of products available as part of our AddisonMckee™, TubeMart™, and Eagle™ brand portfolio, our global service and support infrastructures and capabilities, all backed by a growing and well-capitalized company that has been in businesses for over half a century.”
