Prompt Completion of Seventh PowerBend CNC Tube Bender Underlines AddisonMckee's Commitment to China
Just four months after world-leading tube manipulation technologies specialists, AddisonMckee, expanded its operations to include a manufacturing presence in the People's Republic of China, the company has proudly announced that the new plant has already completed the assembly of its seventh AddisonMckee PowerBend CNC bender.
With state-of-the-art tube manipulation technology and manufacturing centres already firmly established in the United States, Great Britain and Canada, AddisonMckee chose to open a further internationally-based manufacturing facility in China to clearly demonstrate its ongoing commitment to serving the tube manipulation needs of the Asian-based manufacturing and automotive industries and to provide a local facility for machine manufacture, distribution and consumables supply.
High quality and cost-effective
Known as AddisonMckee China, the tube manipulation specialist's latest operation was established in autumn 2006 in the TEDA export development zone and has assumed a leading role in the production of AddisonMckee's recently introduced range of PowerBend hydraulic benders; high quality, yet exceptionally cost-effective models that are increasingly being sought out by customers with less sophisticated tube manipulation needs across Asia as well as North America and Europe.
Perishable bend tooling
Wholly dedicated to supporting its local Asian customers, AddisonMckee China is also finalising plans to begin the production of perishable bend tooling. The company will provide its customer base, especially those in China, with high quality tooling of a proven design that will allow them to rely less on local manufacturers who have limited experience of manufacturing this type of specialised tooling.
Already AddisonMckee's Chinese corporate customers, and others across Korea and S.E.A., have been very receptive of the plan to provide local tool manufacturing and support and are anxiously awaiting its start-up.
Service responsibility for East Asia
Committed to providing a complete solution, not one merely focused upon machine development and supply, AddisonMckee China has also assumed service responsibility for the whole of East Asia (China, Korea, Japan and S.E.A.) as well as sales coverage for China and S.E.A. The division has service staff located in China and Korea, and is working with representatives in other key markets to ensure that the highest level of same day technical assistance is provided to both new and established customers.
"AddisonMckee's efforts in Asia have not gone unnoticed by our international customers," commented Director of Global Marketing, Christian Rogiers. "Indeed, due to our commitment to provide 'true' local manufacturing and after-sales support, AddisonMckee China has recently shipped a locally produced PowerBend 75 model to a customer who had exclusively relied on a competitor's machinery for the past 10+ years. We are convinced that is just the beginning, and we are confident of similar success in the near future."
Focused on success at China's International Machine and Tool Show 2007 Dedicated to presenting the full breadth of its capabilities to the Chinese marketplace, AddisonMckee has finalised plans to attend this year's China International Machine and Tool Show (Beijing April 8-14th).
"This is the largest bi-annual exhibition of its kind in China and provides a premier opportunity for us to further promote our products and services," continued Christian Rogiers. "It is our intention to showcase a PowerBend 100 model and our Addata non-contact tube-measuring machine. It is fair to say that our team on the ground in China is positively excited about the prospects of exhibiting a machine with the Addata's capabilities in Beijing."
Participation at the China International Machine and Tool Show follows on from AddisonMckee Canada's recent promotion of its muffler assembly capabilities at last December's Muffler Manufacturers Association Meeting in China. "AddisonMckee Canada was the only foreign manufacturer to be present at this annual meeting," added Christian Rogiers, " and this is something we hope will further endorse our commitment to serving the region.
About the AddisonMckee range of PowerBend tube benders
Launched last year to satisfy the requirements of organisations with more basic tube manipulation needs, AddisonMckee's PowerBend models benefit from the tube manipulation specialist's reputation for quality, precision and reliability, yet are offered at an exceptionally competitive price. Benefiting from years of proven design techniques, PowerBend models provide the high levels of accuracy, repeatability, prompt tool change and ease of operation as required by today's manufacturing industries.
The high quality, cost-effective solution
"As the leading innovator and provider of tube bending technology," commented Christian Rogiers, "we have used our considerable expertise to provide a high quality solution for those companies who would ideally like to invest in AddisonMckee equipment, but have not always been able to justify the sophisticated capabilities that some of our machines offer."
International standards
"In the PowerBend range," he continued, "we have created a choice of exceptionally durable models of international standards and revolutionary design, each with the added advantage of an exceptionally attractive price point. Since launch, PowerBend models have proved exceptionally popular with smaller, mid-market organisations and we are delighted to have recently extended the range to include 42mm, 75mm, 100mm and 150mm maximum diameter machines."
