Position Title Control Design Engineer

Scope & Responsibilities:

  • Discusses project with Supervisor to review functions of machines and equipment
  • Assists in designing and drafting the arrangement of linkages of conductors, relays, and other components of electrical/electronic systems as used in machine controls
  • Diagrams logic system for functions such as sequence and timing control
  • Aids in the trial run of programmed machine and equipment operation to verify that signals in system conform to specifications
  • Additional duties may be assigned as determined by management

The Control Design Engineer is responsible for designing/programming the electrical control systems for single and multi-axis machines and equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 2 year Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 - 4 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools and instruments involved in the production and use of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits, design standards and logic/HMI/motion programming software, including applications and programming
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in use of AutoCAD
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of programmable logic controllers. (Beckhoff, Allen Bradley)
